Assistant Principal
Ms. Kristin Brett
Ms. Kristin Brett has been an educator for 22 years. Originally from Chico, California, she attended the University of California, Davis, and the Universidad de Granada, where she earned a double major in Spanish and International Relations. She also holds a BCLAD Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and a Master’s degree in Educational Leadership from San José State University.
Ms. Brett began her career in education as a teacher at Columbia Middle School in the Sunnyvale School District. Throughout her career, she has served in a variety of roles across both elementary and middle school settings, including at Vargas, Lakewood, and Sunnyvale Middle School, where she most recently served as an Instructional Coach.
Now in her sixth year as Assistant Principal at Cherry Chase Elementary School, Ms. Brett is dedicated to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment for all students. She values the strong relationships she has built with students, families, and the broader Cherry Chase community.
Outside of school, Ms. Brett enjoys spending time with her family, friends, and her dog. She has two children in fifth and seventh grades who keep her on her toes. She also loves traveling, cooking, and listening to podcasts.
